Our Solution

To meet these goals, our team implemented a scalable, network-based AV system centered on Extron technology for control, switching, and signal distribution.

  • Extron Control & Switching – Centralized control system with intuitive wall touch panels, enabling one-touch operation for source selection, volume, and room presets.
  • Audio System – Extron DTP Matrix switcher and MPA Amplifier with distributed SoundTube ceiling speakers and Shure wireless microphones providing clear, consistent sound coverage.
  • Hybrid Collaboration – Integrated Biamp VBC conferencing cameras for Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings.
  • Digital Signage – BrightSign players powering dynamic, centrally managed content throughout public areas.
  • Accessibility – Assistive listening systems ensuring ADA compliance and inclusivity for all visitors

The Results

The new AV systems empower Maplewood Memorial Library to host a wider range of programs and experiences than ever before.

  • Simple Operation – Staff can easily manage room modes and start events in seconds.
  • Enhanced Engagement – From children’s story hours to town hall meetings, the technology supports vibrant community experiences.
  • Hybrid Ready – Seamless integration with video conferencing allows participation from anywhere.
