CONVENE PROFILE SUMMARY CTCI is proud to have been chosen as the trusted partner for the comprehensive audiovisual installation at the highly anticipated 30,000 square-foot Venue 42 by Convene. This modern meeting and conference centre is conveniently situated in the heart of Midtown Manhattan at the coveted 5 Times Square location.  Exhibiting an array of nine adaptable meeting rooms, Convene presents a unique environment that can be tailored to various event forms – ranging from large-scale conferences with breakout rooms, corporate town halls, interactive learning sessions, business social events, and beyond. The grandest meeting room can comfortably host around 240 attendees.  PROJECT OVERVIEW The modular versatility of this project is courtesy of an ingenious central system that allows for the effortless recording, mixing, and streaming of content displayed in any room. The setup features 2 dividable spaces, each embedded with room sensors and partitions, users can choose to operate in single room, combined, or town hall mode. In its basic configuration, the room comes equipped with a single active projector, speakers, and a microphone, perfect for delivering talks or presentations. In combined mode, the partitions make way for a larger space, additional projectors, and increased number of speakers and microphones.  The town hall mode, or overflow setting, utilizes the Forum East & West as primary areas, enabling users to stream content, speaker audio, and sound concurrently to the North & South Hubs and the Studio. Additionally, the space is elegantly enhanced by a state-of-the-art Podcast Studio and an Executive Boardroom. The Boardroom features advanced BYOD capabilities and a 98″ wall-mounted TV, offering the latest in technology and convenience. Complementing the entire 30,000 square-feet area is a collection of displays, capable of showcasing a rotating selection of custom content including images and videos. Furthermore, the location features acoustically enhanced speakers that not only can provide ambient music but can also enable audio relay from any room. GILEAD SCIENCES PROFILE SUMMARY Gilead Sciences, a biopharmaceutical company renowned for its innovative research and development, recently established a new 96,000-square-foot East Coast hub at Parsippany’s Latitude campus. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to enhance collaboration, comfort, and creativity among its employees. To achieve this, CTCI was contracted to provide and install a comprehensive data solution that would support their vision and operational demands. THE CHALLENGE The primary challenge was to create a robust, high-performance data infrastructure capable of supporting the advanced technological needs of Gilead Sciences. This included ensuring reliable data cabling, security camera connectivity, efficient cable management, and sound masking to maintain a conducive working environment. PROJECT OVERVIEW CTCI’s 400,000′ of Commscope Cat 6A – data solution successfully met Gilead Sciences’ needs, delivering several key outcomes: Enhanced Connectivity: Reliable and high-speed data cabling infrastructure supporting seamless communication and data transfer across the facility. Improved Security: Robust cabling enabled efficient installation and operation of security cameras and access control systems. Efficient Cable Management: Basor wire mesh cable trays and J-hooks ensured organized, accessible, and maintainable cabling throughout the hub. Optimized Data Centers: The newly built MDF and backbone infrastructure provided a solid foundation for Gilead’s data needs, ensuring scalability and dependability. Workplace Comfort: The Biamp sound masking system created a more comfortable and productive work environment by reducing noise distractions. CONCLUSION CTCI’s expertise in data solutions played a crucial role in the successful establishment of Gilead Sciences’ new East Coast hub.
