JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Audio Visual Field Engineer is responsible for the on-site installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audio-visual systems. This role demands a deep understanding of AV technologies, the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in accordance with AVIXA standards.
Key Responsibilities
Installation and Commissioning:
- Perform on-site installation of AV systems, including audio, video, control, and networking equipment.
- Ensure all installations are carried out in accordance with project specifications and AVIXA standards.
- Conduct system testing and calibration to guarantee optimal performance.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and repair of AV equipment.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and service AV systems to prevent issues.
Client Support and Training:
- Offer technical support and training to clients on the use and maintenance of AV systems.
- Address client inquiries and provide solutions in a timely and professional manner.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and submit reports detailing on-site activities and recommendations for system improvements.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing updates and feedback as necessary.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure installations meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Continuously aim to improve service quality and efficiency.
Professional Development:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
- Participate in training and seek AVIXA certifications, such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist).
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Audiovisual Technology, Electronics) or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in AV field engineering, including hands-on experience with AV installations.
- Familiarity with a range of AV equipment and control systems.
- AVIXA CTS certification or willingness to obtain.
Skills:

- Ability to read and interpret AV schematics and diagrams.

Physical Requirements:
- Capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting and moving AV equipment.
